Signed Calligraphy Auction

We're auctioning a signed calligraphy of the song Pippin sang in the Return of the King...
Billy's Loons Charities, www.bbloonscharities.net, is proud to announce our latest auction of a beautiful original calligraphy of the song Pippin sang in the Return of the King.  The original calligraphy was presented by the artist to Billy Boyd at the Pittsburgh Symphony Presentation of the Lord of the Rings in 2005.  Billy graciously signed several copies made by the original artist at ORC 2006 in Pasadena, for auction with all proceeds to be donated to The Scottish Youth Theatre, www.scottishyouththeatre.org, in Glasgow.  The calligraphy is 8 1/2" by 11" and laminated, ready to be framed as a wonderful keepsake of that touching scene in the Return of the King!

Silent Auction at ORC

The Silent Auction and brunch held at The One Ring Celebration(ORC)in Pasadena, CA was a great success.  Billy Boyd and 100 lucky attendees enjoyed several hours sharing a delicious brunch and chatting with Billy, as he visited with each table of guests.

The Silent Auction consisted of special items brought by Billy himself, and collectibles donated by Creation Entertainment and Billy's Loons.  The highlight of the auction was the worn, leather autographed jacket that had been a great favorite of Billy.  The winning bid for the jacket was $3300!  The overall earnings from the Silent Auction were over $7,000, with the proceeds going to the Epilepetic Foundation of Glasgow.

Billy's Loons Charities presented Billy with a plaque thanking him for his inspiration and generous heart.

Signed Photo Auction

Billy's Loons Charitiesis very proud to announce an auction of a very special 8"by 10" framed photo of Billy's Boyd's hand.  This beautiful photo was taken by Oli Skjellum in Malmo, Sweden, and the original has been exhibited at the Odense Art Exhibit in June and July 2004, and The Fellowship Festival in London in August 2005.  Billy signed this only print that is available to the public, in order for it to be auctioned with all proceeds going to the Scottish Youth Theatre, www.scottishyouththeatre.org, of which Billy is a patron of.

Along with the framed photo is a power point presentation called "The Story of a Hobbit's Heart" that tells the story of how the artist was inspired by Billy Boyd and his portrayal  of Pippin Took in the acclaimed trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, the photos don't really do show the beauty of the matted photo.

Billy Boyd to attend a Silent Auction and Brunch at ORC 2006, sponsored by Billy's Loons Charities and Creation Entertainment on January 22.

SUNDAY MORNING 10AM: THE ONE RING BRUNCH & CHARITY AUCTION WITH BILLY BOYD: Here's a fun highlight of the weekend. Open to a limited number of attendees we're going to share a delightful breakfast with BILLY BOYD and then have a silent auction to benefit Billy's charity endeavors! Billy has selected Epilepsy Connection in Glasgow to benefit from the brunch auction. He is also bringing along some items to auction! Note: CAMERAS can be used when Billy first enters, then please put your camera away so Billy can be escorted round the room to personally meet everyone!

This breakfast is being presented in conjunction with Billy's Loons Charities, a great group that donates to different charities that Billy supports. In the past Billy's Loons Charities have raised funds for many of Billy's selected charities, concentrating most of their efforts to the Scottish Youth Theatre. Other efforts have raised funds for The Unicef Tsunami Relief for Children and Make-A-Wish.
